Why In-Home Training Works
Dogs are situation-specific learners. This means that they often exhibit specific behaviors in a specific environment under specific circumstances. Because of this, dogs must “unlearn” unwanted/problem behaviors in the same environment where they practice those behaviors, which is in your home and neighborhood.
In-home training is also the best way to prepare a dog for upcoming changes in your home. Initial introductions often set the tone for future interactions. Whether you’re expecting a new baby or planning to bring a new pet into your pack, it’s important to prepare Fido ahead of time so that introductions are as smooth as possible.
Every dog is a unique individual. In-home training allows the trainer to address your specific needs and tailor training for the needs of your dog. One-on-one, customized lessons are the only effective way to resolve the majority of problem behaviors, to bring out the best in your dog, and to achieve lasting harmony in your home.

Initial Evaluation
The purpose of the evaluation is to learn more about you and your dog(s). We need to observe your dog in his home environment, gather your input, fully understand your training objectives, and take a complete history before recommending a training package. While some companies offer a free “consultation,” this is usually a sales pitch or a shock collar session. We recommend that you ask questions before agreeing to a free in-home consultation.
The fee for the in-home evaluation is $150 and requires one hour. There is a $40 fee for each additional dog in the home that requires training. (There is NO additional per dog fee charged for training sessions/packages). The fee for dogs that exhibit aggression/reactivity with dogs or people, (excluding puppy play nipping), fear, anxiety, skittishness, resource guarding, or clinical separation anxiety is $195, and the evaluation requires approximately 90 minutes to complete.
In-Home Training Packages and Pricing
New Puppy Preparation & Planning Consultation (2-hr Session) • $195
Get your pup off to a great start! We cover all the most important concerns of new puppy parents.
This includes information about developmental stages, spaying and neutering, puppy proofing your home and yard, choosing containment options, equipment, supplies, and management tools, choosing safe chew toys, and more.
We’ll also provide information about diet and exercise, explain the basics of containment and management, help you create your ideal house training set up, and teach you how to socialize your pup in a safe manner.
Please note that this isn’t a training session. The purpose of this consultation is to help you prepare for and welcome a new puppy into your life and home.
Good Dog 3-Lesson Package • $429
This package is the perfect way to address one or two minor puppy problem behaviors, such as puppy house soiling, mouthing, play nipping, crate training, excessive chewing, and more.
Get help for a specific situation, like preparing your home for a new pet, helping you prepare your pet for a new baby, or introducing new pets to each other.
You can also resolve a minor behavior or obedience concern, such as jumping on guests at the door, counter surfing, teaching your dog to walk nicely on leash, and teaching basic manners.
This package may be customized for your specific needs. You, your dog, and your trainer will meet once per week. Each lesson is 60 minutes in length.
Great Dog 5-Lesson Package • $695
Does your dog need a solid grounding in basic obedience? Are there several minor problem behaviors to address? Does your dog need help with basic manners? Have a new puppy in your home? Then this 5-lesson package is your best bet.
Address problem behaviors, such as puppy nipping, jumping, counter surfing, digging, excessive barking, house training, chewing, minor dog-dog or dog-human reactivity, barking, and more.
This package may be customized for your specific needs.You, your dog, and your trainer will meet once per week. Each lesson is 60 minutes in length.
Super Dog 7-Lesson Package • $945
If you have more than one dog to train, need to work on interactions/relationships between family pets or between the humans and dogs in the family, or if you want a dog that is well-behaved both at home and out in public (around distractions), this is the perfect package.
Your dog will be trained to respond to your vocal cues and hand signals, and you will learn how to address moderately challenging behavioral issues (on-leash reactivity/aggression, and some entrenched behavior concerns).
This package may be customized for your specific needs. You, your dog, and your trainer will meet once or twice per week. Each lesson is 60 minutes in length.
Dream Dog 9-Lesson Package • $1170
If you have a dog that exhibits serious behavioral concerns (such as separation anxiety, mild-to-moderate dog-dog reactivity or aggression or dog-human reactivity or aggression, resource guarding, or extreme fear/timidity) then this is the perfect package for you.
You can also address behaviors that endanger your dog, yourself, or others (door darting, chasing cars, escaping, nipping, jumping on people, leash reactivity / aggression, hard leash pulling, and more).
This package may be customized for your specific needs. You, your dog, and your trainer will meet once or twice per week. Each lesson is 60 minutes in length.
Wonder Dog 12-Lesson Package • $1500
If you have more than one dog with serious behavioral concerns/problem behaviors, or a single dog with multiple behavior concerns, (such as separation anxiety, dog-dog aggression, aggression towards humans, resource guarding, extreme fear/timidity), then this is an ideal training program for you.
Regular training sessions will help Fido fine-tune, improve, and maintain new-found obedience skills and good manners, take distraction-proofing to the next level, and ensure that he remains on his best behavior!
